About
I am a senior researcher working at the intersection of Communication Studies and International Relations.
I lead a research group ‘Platform Algorithms and Digital Propaganda’ at Weizenbaum Institute in Berlin.
My primary focus is on digital propaganda, social media platforms, international media, and more recently, generative AI. I am interested in both, legacies of historical practices of propaganda and political communication as well as the new developments in the digital world. I am also interested in discourse studies and framing.
I hold a PhD in International Politics from City, University of London. I am a former fellow at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, Harvard University and at the Center for the European Studies at Boston University.
I used to and still occasionally work as a journalist.
